HANS MEIJER RELAUNCHES WEBSITE WITH 'A LA CARTE' DESIGN

Griffen Mill Pixel Factory and Hans Meijer are pleased to announce the relaunch of www.hmcounselling.com. Hans Meijer is a client of the WebHealer website service, and the website redesign, completed on June 17, 2011 was carried out by Megan, a member of Griffen Mill Pixel Factory using their innovative A La Carte design offering. The A La Carte service is a system for developing professional therapist websites, which are unique and compelling yet quick to build and therefore low cost. It was commissioned by WebHealer, partner for the professional therapist marketplace.

Megan of Griffen Mill said "Hans Meijer was looking for a design with a professional, somewhat understated feel to it, so as not to come across too vibrant. Strong photography is a key feature of the A La Carte service we developed with WebHealer, and the client asked us to create initial options based on general nature, abstract and water images. In terms of shape, the look we settled on was to be more flowing and curvy, rather than structured, linear or boxy. As for colour, Hans Meijer requested blues, whites. Finally there was a specific request: gentle look, open minded, inviting, sky/clouds/calm water.".

The duration of the project is often under a week, however clients are able to give feedback and request changes after initial examples are shown. This project began on May 24, 2011, and after two iterations of discussion, was completed 23 days later. Hans Meijer said "I was a bit cynical to start with, thinking my website looked alright. It wasn’t until I saw the new design that I noticed how fresh and professional it looked. The process was swift and straightforward. A short to the point conversation with the Megan, well prepared through a simple questionnaire I filled in and therefore highly productive. One of the designs she came up with felt (almost) right and the queries I had as a result were answered and small adjustments made. I can recommend the upgrade to anyone who’s had their website for some time. When I look at the printout I made of the old version I realise how much it was in need of an upgrade. ".
