PRESS RELEASE
SOLES TO SOUL RELAUNCHES WEBSITE WITH 'A LA CARTE' DESIGN
June 8, 2010
– For Immediate Release –
Griffen Mill Pixel Factory and Soles to Soul are pleased to announce the relaunch of www.solestosoul.co.uk. Soles to Soul is a client of the WebHealer website service, and the website redesign, completed on June 8, 2010 was carried out by Amanda, a member of Griffen Mill Pixel Factory using their innovative A La Carte design offering. The A La Carte service was devised with website partner WebHealer as a unique approach to affordable website design for the therapist and healthcare marketplace.
Amanda of Griffen Mill said "Soles to Soul was looking for a design with a professional, somewhat understated feel to it, so as not to come across too vibrant. Strong photography is a key feature of the A La Carte service we developed with WebHealer, and the client asked us to create initial options based on seashore, general nature and water images. In terms of shape, the look we settled on was to be more flowing and curvy, rather than structured, linear or boxy. As for colour, Soles to Soul requested Mid blue, purple, green. Finally there was a specific request: Tropical seashore/ water ripples".
Key Features of the A La Carte service
- Common design platform to enable low cost development, yet still ensuring the uniqueness of every resulting design
- For clients without distinctive logos, the designs feature strong photographic imagery evoking an emotive reaction
- Sophisticated colour palette technology creates house colour scheme for professional ongoing content management
- Rapid development cycle
The duration of the project is often under a week, however clients are able to give feedback and request changes after initial examples are shown. This project began on May 18, 2010, and after three iterations of discussion, was completed 21 days later. Soles to Soul said "Hi - just some feedback regarding my a la carte design. * I was really pleased with the speed at which the new design was produced, and that it clearly depicted the type of image I wanted to portray. * The number of enquiries I've had via the internet has risen significantly, difficult to put this totally down to the new design, but a couple of positive comments has led me to believe that it has contributed significantly. e.g. When suggesting that a potential client try a therapist less than the 20 miles away that I am, she said that she had looked at other websites of nearer therapists, but mine gave by far the best impression. Another comment was that a client immediately felt a sense of relaxation with the website design, which was exactly what I had wanted the effect to be.
Thanks to Amanda for the end result!".
