Images and Photographs for Homeopaths

In most cases, a homeopath will wish to convey a warm and inviting impression with their website. They will also be looking to emphasise a professional appeal and give a reassurance that they can bring the client a sense of well being. Depending on the client, some homeopaths will wish to convey a more therapeutic image, using photographs of clean and professional looking treatment rooms, while most regularly, websites for homeopaths will include images of herbs, flowers, glass medicine bottles and pills that are relevant to their work.

Sourcing Images for a Homeopathy Website

You can take them yourself, but these days online image libraries are a fantastic resource of high quality, low cost and immense choice. In fact there are so many images online, that it is useful to experiment with keywords to find just what you are looking for.

The obvious starting point for an image for a homeopathy website is to search for homeopath or homeopathy. However depending on how the photographer has tagged their image, it won't find everything that you may be looking for. Try searching for natural medicine or herbs perhaps. The other approach you can take is to type in mood keywords such as calm, as the emotional content of the website is all important. Once you have found an image that is close to what you are looking for, there may also be an option to 'see more like this', which will show you similar images that might just hit the mark.

A short list of words you might try for a homeopathist may include: alternative, medicine, pills, herbs, treatment, health, healing, calm, holistic, balance, well-being, supplements and natural.

We often use Shutterstock for images for homeopathy websites, as we find they have a good range of high quality photographs.

Finally, we have included below a number of typical images we might use with a homeopathy website. These images are not intended for you to copy and reuse, in fact there are likely to be copyright problems with you doing that. However we have included commentary on how we feel these images suit a homeopathy website, so that you can take inspiration from them and find your own individual images.

Alternative Medicine

This type of image of homeopathic medicine is commonly used within homeopathy websites. The image shown here has a gentle appeal, due to the soft colours and simple abstract angle of the shot. It is important, when including images of medicines within a homeopathy website, to include professional and inviting images that evoke a sense of reassurance and security, and to avoid being too harsh and clinical.

Natural Herbs and Essences

There are many images found within the image libraries that include homeopathic items such as these. This ensures that the images chosen to feature within the website design can be relevant to the clients work, and also complement the colour scheme that should run through the website.

Lavender Flowers

Herbs and flowers with a professional white background can be used to illustrate and break up text within the content of the site. The soft purple shades found within the lavender provide a calm appeal that would complement a natural colour scheme. Lavendar is a good choice, being gentle and associated with wellbeing.
