Images and Photographs for Reflexologists

In most cases, a reflexologist will wish to convey a warm and inviting impression with their website. They will also be looking to emphasise a human touch and give a reassurance that they can bring the client a sense of well being. Depending on the client, some reflexologists will wish to convey a more therapeutic image, using photographs of clean and professional looking treatment rooms, while others will take a more wellbeing/beauty line and opt for images of flowers, such as the popular flowers with feet photographs.

Sourcing Images for a Reflexology Website

You can take them yourself, but these days online image libraries are a fantastic resource of high quality, low cost and immense choice. In fact there are so many images online, that it is useful to experiment with keywords to find just what you are looking for.

The obvious starting point for an image for a reflexology website is to search for reflexologist or reflexology. However depending on how the photographer has tagged their image, it won't find everything that you may be looking for. Try searching for foot or massage perhaps. The other approach you can take is to type in mood keywords such as relax, as the emotional content of the website is all important.

A short list of words you might try for a reflexologist may include: complementary, reflex, treatment, health, massage, healing, calm, holistic, balance, well-being, relaxing and of course feet.

We often use Shutterstock for images for reflexology websites, as we find they have a good range of high quality photographs.

Finally, we have included below a number of typical images we might use with a reflexology website. These images are not intended for you to copy and reuse, in fact there are likely to be copyright problems with you doing that. However we have included commentary on how we feel these images suit a reflexology website, so that you can take inspiration from them and find your own individual images.

Feet with Flowers

This is a classic reflexology website image. It shows a foot amongst a selection of flowers. Importantly the colour palette is harmonious, as the skin tones and pinks, with an accent of yellow would work well as a colour palette for a website. If you try to take your own version of this photo, remember that not all feet are as attractive as this one! Also, consider the background and the choice of flowers so that they match the colour palette you are working with.

Purple Flowers

Not every image needs to be of feet or hands in a reflexology website. In fact you might not use any such images, but instead use flowers with matching colours to your website palette. Lavendar is a good choice, being gentle and associated with wellbeing.

Pregnant Lady

Another type of image might be one related to a particular type of reflexology you offer. For example many people turn to reflexology during pregnancy, so a happy image associated with this will provide some reassurance for a potential customer. The flower adds a touch of colour to an essentially plain white image, and the yellow should ideally be tied in to your colour palette.
