Bespoke Design Case Study for Counselling Client

Karen Morris

On January 04, 2018 we completed a bespoke design project for this counselling client.

About the Client

Karen Morris offers counselling and psychotherapy to individuals and couples aged 18 years old and over. She is based in East Manchester and in Heaton Moor.

Summary of Client Requirement

Karen chose a "Silver" level "Action Hero" design for her website, to create a strong new look for her website. She chose 2 contrasting images with powerful messages, to encourage website visitors to read on and find out more about her and her service.

Design Considerations

For an "Action Hero" design, wide images in a "letterbox" shape are generally chosen for the Hero images so as not to dominate the website when viewed on a large screen. Karen's images however are deeper on the page than usual for this design format, but as they send a strong message, they still work well on the website. Website colours were set to blend with the images, and not to clash with Karen's existing logo on the website.

Client Testimonial

"I recently upgraded my website with Web Healer. Honestly, I couldn't decide on the best package but figured that I wouldn't lose much if I didn't like it. Cue David. With his input the only difficulty was choosing the right images. I really like my new look website, and don't feel the need to change anything. Thank you David, you offered an excellent level of service and enough information that even a novice (me), could feel involved. I appreciate this as it fits with the way that I work in my practice. I would use your service again, and highly recommend you."

Latest on Twitter

We haven't set up our own Twitter account yet, so in the meantime why not take a look at what our strategic partner WebHealer is up to.

New Stuff

With the recent launch of Active Images, PHD Interactive have added a great facility to their website editor that we recommend clients make use of. It aids navigation and provides us designers with a great tool to engage visitors and encourage them to take a look at what's on offer... ideally resulting in an enquiry, subscription or some form of action. The website editor includes some free 'call to action' graphics (such as the one opposite) and we're also enjoying making custom graphics for our clients. Get in touch if you'd like us to make something for you.

Recent Client Work

“David made the whole process of upgrading my website to silver very easy to do. Since I have little technological ability he made the process easy to understand. The emails I received from him were prompt and courteous. I felt reassured that my business needs to promote my website were being handled in a professional manner. ” See full case study
