On January 18, 2017 we completed a bespoke design project for this counselling client.

About the Client

Francis Atkinson is a senior BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with 25 years of experience. He's also experienced in supervising other counsellors and psychotherapists and has worked in private practice, the education sector, and for charitable organisations.

Summary of Client Requirement

Francis opted for a new Silver "Super Hero" design for his website, which usually features just one full-width "Hero" image at the top of the website. But as he really liked 2 different images of the London City skyline, the 2 images were therefore used alternating on his different website pages.

Design Considerations

To make sure that the "Hero" images had the same depth on the screen, and so that the website contents didn't jump up and down from one page to the next, the images were cropped accurately and identically to fit the header area precisely. The images also have quite different colours present, and so for the general website colours for example the background, I chose neutral blues and greys, so as not to clash with the image colours. This also allows the images to stand out well and really make an impact.
