Bespoke Design Case Study for Counselling Client

Simon Halford

On January 20, 2017 we completed a bespoke design project for this counselling client of WebHealer

About the Client

Simon Halford is a fully qualified and experienced Psychotherapist, and Psychosexual Therapist, helping individuals and couples with both sexual and relationship problems.

Summary of Client Requirement

Simon opted for a Silver "Action Hero" design for his website, choosing 2 appropriately fading images showing positive and negative sides to a relationship.

Design Considerations

To allow the striking header images to make an impression, subtle shades of green and blue were used for the various design elements, which also allowed Simon's striking and professional portrait image to stand out well too on the home page. To keep a single line of page links at the top of the website for neatness, drop-down menus were used where appropriate, to give access to all the website pages. Simon also opted to use quoteboxes for his "Current News" items on his Home page, and was coached in how to update this regularly, saving the older news items on a "News Archive" page. (This coaching was offered as an extra to the normal design work)

Client Testimonial

""David Law has acted as a consultant and mentor to me in setting up my site with WebHealer. I cannot recommend David’s services strongly enough. He listened carefully to my needs and to my struggles around IT. His responses to that information have been carefully tailored to my needs. He has helped me develop material that has optimised search processes and he has shared his wisdom on how to organise and enhance the accessibility of information on my site. He also provided the services to raise the aesthetic appearance of my web pages providing photographic images and dynamic page features. He has helped me develop and place new information on my sight to keep it fresh. What's more he has tutored me so that I can now do this for myself. David’s has been flexible and reliable with his time and his charges are most reasonable for the calibre of service that he offers me. If you are a new therapist setting up a site or have a site in need of revamping I strongly recommend that you give David a call to discuss your needs.""

We haven't set up our own Twitter account yet, so in the meantime why not take a look at what our strategic partner WebHealer is up to.

New Stuff

Yes we know this design is dated and clunky. Like all good cobblers we're so busy creating beautiful designs for clients, we've neglected our own footwear. The new design is however ready for final testing and go live. Here's a teaser.
