Bespoke Design Case Study for Counselling Client

About the Client

Evelyn Riddle is a BACP Registered and Senior Accredited Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and a UK Association for Humanistic Psychology Practitioners Associate member. She practices in South West London.

Summary of Client Requirement

Evelyn chose a Silver "Action Hero" design for her website's new look, as she liked the similar examples she'd seen with wide header images.

Design Considerations

The design included 2 feature images, and though the bridge image Evelyn chose was perfect, I was initially concerned that the other stepping stones image would lose it's feel once it had been cropped down into the right shape for the website, with a wide landscape orientation. However, with careful adjustment, the image still looked great, and the combination of the 2 images worked well together where Evelyn chose to fade them into each other. With a "natural greens and browns" theme, I set website colours to suit, and the end result was very calm and restful.
