Bespoke Design Case Study for Counselling Client

Michelle Seabrook

On March 08, 2017 we completed a bespoke design project for this counselling client.

About the Client

Michelle Seabrook has worked in the helping professions since 1999, starting as a Psychologist a local prison before joining the National Probation Service. She re-trained in counselling and psychotherapy, and has been in practice since 2008.

Summary of Client Requirement

Michelle chose a Silver "Action Hero" design for her website's new look, and chose an abstract "fractal" type image for the wide feature at the top of the website.

Design Considerations

The fractal image was originally much deeper than the banner image needed to be, so this was cropped to leave the most interesting shapes in view. As the image was black and white, and Michelle's original logo image on her website was bright green and blue in colour, the website colours were set in muted greens and blues as a compromise between these two extremes.

Client Testimonial

""Prompt service and a great design from David at Griffen Mill. The process of updating my website was very easy and each step was very well explained, I’m delighted with the new design.""

Latest on Twitter

We haven't set up our own Twitter account yet, so in the meantime why not take a look at what our strategic partner WebHealer is up to.

New Stuff

With the recent launch of Active Images, PHD Interactive have added a great facility to their website editor that we recommend clients make use of. It aids navigation and provides us designers with a great tool to engage visitors and encourage them to take a look at what's on offer... ideally resulting in an enquiry, subscription or some form of action. The website editor includes some free 'call to action' graphics (such as the one opposite) and we're also enjoying making custom graphics for our clients. Get in touch if you'd like us to make something for you.
